1996 B/W Dodge Viper GTS

Up for sale is our 1996 Dodge Viper with 16,XXX miles. Yes, it has a salvage title. More on that below.

This car is in excellent shape and was recently purchased from a shop where it had sat for 16 years. They had another Viper along with many other projects and this Viper was never put back together. We purchased it from them in the summer of 2021. After a very thorough inspection and history check, this car was suitable for collector status rebuild (and driver status if you wanted). Full drivetrain and frame were never damaged in either of the two accidents the car was involved in (more below). Car was professionally rebuilt by my company, GKR motor cars. Work included new hood, front bumper, assortment of items within the bumper and new paint. New oil pressure sensor was also installed but that is common on these. As you can see from the pictures, the exterior is in amazing condition. Front of car was blended into the rear as the rear was in exceptional condition with only 16K miles and sitting in a shop for most of its life. Bumper, hood and doors have new paint. Frame machine showed all factory X points to be within 3mm. Dodge spec is to be within 5mm. Everything works as it should and besides the few upgrades listed below, the car is stock. Drives straight as stock and would track it in an instant if I were to want to. Currently has Michelin tires that match what were factory but cannot confirm if original or not.

Salvage Story:

First wreck was in 2000 and was a front passenger corner impact. Hood, bumper, etc were compromised and resulted in salvage due to repair costs.

Professionally repaired by dealership in late 2000 and then wrecked again, two years later in 2002. Accident was a direct front end collision resulting in bumper, hood and miscellaneous items needing replaced. Driver side lower radiator support was damaged as well but did not impact frame. Due to costs, was marked as salvage by insurance.

The Viper was purchased in MO in 2005 and sat for 15 years with last owner.

Full Bellanger full length headers and exhaust.

K&N cold air intake

$68,000 OBO. Possibly open to the right trade for another project or collector car but it has to make sense for us.
